A Few Words from Takana Zion and Warrior King

Guinean reggae singer Takana Zion teams-up with Warrior King on ‘Few Words’, his latest song which he produced. Recently released, it continues his relationship with Jamaican artists and musicians.

He and Warrior King first met several years ago at a music festival in France. They formed a friendship that resulted in the latter performing at the Nimba Reggae Festival in Conkary, Guinea in 2025.

Warrior King, who has previously collaborated with African artists, welcomed the opportunity to record with Takana Zion.

“I am confident this collaboration with Takana Zion will do great things and it will also open lots of doors for me in Africa, because Takana is popularly known as the king of Africa and he is also an extremely talented artist,” he said.

Some of the scenes for the video to ‘Few Words’ were filmed in the Orange Street section of Kingston, Jamaica’s capital. That area was once the hub of the country’s reggae industry.

Takana Zion has recorded songs in Jamaica with acts like the legendary Bunny Wailer. Many of his songs are produced by Jamaican musician Maka Lox. ‘Few Words’ is Takana Zion’s second song released in a month by Takana Zion. It is the follow-up to ‘Enemies’ which came out on June 30, his birthday.

In January, Takana Zion won the Best African Act Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall category at the All-Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Lagos, Nigeria. Last September, he was one of the organizers of the Nimba Reggae Festival, which also featured Ky-Mani Marley, Jah Mason and Richie Spice.
