Zale Looks Forward to a Bright Future in Music

Singer-songwriter Zale is optimistic about his future in music following the release of his latest single ‘Journey’, which he recorded on the Divine Majestic Riddim by Sonovic.

Zale shared that he recorded a demo of the track at his home studio and worked with audio engineer David Saenz to produce the final track, before its release on July 16 earlier this year.

The heartfelt anthem, according to the former Campion College student, reflects a life of resilience.

“It is about tapping into that inner power, the very last line of the second verse says ‘defeat the inner demons then we elevate the fight’, and that sums up what ‘Journey’ is about. You know, the struggle for empowerment within ourselves and making a positive change throughout the world,” the young musician said.

The Kingston-born singjay is currently in studios working on a collaborative EP with upcoming artiste Double Helix. Zale has promised that the project will be fresh and captivating, and relatable to everyone.

“I hope people will get the message and see what we are trying to convey with this project,” he said.

The fast-rising singer-rapper says he takes musical inspiration from the likes of Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, Sizzla Kalonji, John Mayer, Kendrick Lamar, Chronixx, among others.

He said the variety in the styles of the artistes aforementioned significantly helps to shape his music today.

“My taste in music is very wide and I love to explore music from different cultures too. And I take the same approach with creating music as well. I fuse so many different styles together to create a unique sound. I also compose and produce most of my songs which allows me full expression in every part of music and, with this, my mission is to have a global reach, to collaborate with artistes that inspire me and to use the music to inspire people to follow their own dreams and be empowered on their journey through life,” he said.

Outside of music, Zale says he is a fan of nature and hiking and often finds himself reading educational books to help broaden his horizons.

“I also love solving problems, so I am a fan of the tech world. Tech and music are close to me,” he adds.

Zale began his professional career in 2017. A year later he produced his first single Darkling Thrush, which was independently released.
