Radio Host Puggy Simeon to Be Laid to Rest on October 4th

Family, friends, and the reggae community are invited to come together to celebrate the life of Seymour “Puggy Simeon” Scott, a beloved figure in the reggae community, who departed this life in September 2024 after a prolonged battle with health issues.

The funeral service for Seymour “Puggy Simeon” Scott will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at the Meadowvale Funeral Centre, located at 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, Ontario.

  • Viewing: 9:00 am – 10:00 am
  • Funeral Service: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Following the service, a Celebration of Life and Repast will take place from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Clarke Memorial Hall, 161 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga, Ontario.

Puggy made his mark on the reggae scene both in Montreal and Toronto, leaving behind a legacy of love for the music that shaped his life.

Puggy was the eldest of six children, and his passion for sound systems and reggae music was ignited during his early years in Jamaica, where he frequented legendary setups like Killa Tone Hi-Fi and Jammy’s studio. Known for his vibrant radio presence, Puggy’s contributions enriched the lives of many within the Canadian reggae community.

This bredren has touched many lives. Rest in peace, Puggy Simeon, your voice and spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
