Ryan Dangerous has been to enough clubs and parties to know what type of songs get patrons from their seats and onto the dancefloor. He called on that awareness for ‘Baby Run Come’, his latest song which was released in May.
The South Florida-based singer threw in several ingredients to ensure the track appeals to a broad audience. Those include dancehall and the ubiquitous Afrobeats.
“Whenever I record a song, I constantly put myself in the audience to critique my work, because people don’t value cooking unless the chef taste the food to make sure the ingredients are enticing the palate. Hit songs are not by accident; they are made with strategic formulas,” he said.
Ryan Dangerous was born in Kingston but raised in Portland, a rural parish in eastern Jamaica which was once home to Hollywood actor Errol Flynn. Musically-inclined since his youth, he took things a step further after migrating to the United States. In recent years, he has stepped up his recording output.
With ‘Baby Run Come’, he continues the genre-bending experiments of previous songs like ‘Tatoo Scars’ which came out in 2021. Ryan Dangerous has another string to his creative bow. He is a fashion designer and owner of a company called Island Niche.
