Singing Justice’s music is a unique blend of traditional reggae and contemporary sounds. His 2021 single ‘Best Shot’ received critical acclaim, and his latest single ‘My Empress’ is already making waves with its catchy and potent lyrics.
Howard Mervin Palmer, aka Singing Justice was Born in Bushy Park, St. Catherine, Jamaica. The charismatic vocalist was surrounded by music from a young age. His father was an avid music listener and his mother was a member of the church choir, which allowed him to develop a passion for singing. Singing Justice honed his skills as a member of the church youth choir, the school choir, and the Jamaica Defence Force choir.
After his time in the army, Singing Justice decided to pursue music as a career. He recorded his first single, ‘Bubly’ which was never released to the public, but this did not discourage him. He continued to perform at various events and festivals and gained recognition in the local music scene. In 2013, he recorded a few songs for Akeebu Records and his first single, ‘Veins’ was released to rave reviews.
Singing Justice’s musical influences are vast and diverse, ranging from reggae legends Sanchez and Garnett Silk to the country music great Kenny Rogers. He admires female reggae artist Etana for her work and attributes and hopes to one day work with her. He also looks up to Dwayne Stephenson and would love to collaborate with him in the future.
With his smooth voice and unique style, Singing Justice is poised to make a big impact in the world of reggae music. He is currently in the studio recording tracks for his debut EP, which he plans to release later this year. This is an exciting time for reggae music as Singing Justice is set to bring a fresh sound to the genre.
