The promoters of the wildly successful old-school-themed Original Dancehall Thursdays event which is held weekly at Rebel T’s HQ in Kingston, have teamed up with Fortis Kings to stage an old-school dancehall event in Negril dubbed Ribbittt.
“We’re more than happy to partner with Music Town to promote this event to give the people in Western Jamaica a taste of the original dancehall vibes. We want the patrons to come out and experience old-school dancehall entertainment in fine style. Therefore, we are going all out to make this event a top-notch production,” said a spokesperson for Fortis Kings.
Ribbittt will feature performances from several top acts from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s such as Peter Metro, Josey Wales, Professor Nuts, Luciano, I-Wayne, Andy Livingston, and Principal Grundeh.
“We want to give the patrons attending Ribbittt nothing but the absolute best. Therefore, we’ve put together an exciting entertainment package that includes some of the best acts from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s,” said the spokesperson for the event.
Ribit is scheduled to take place at Wavz Beach in Negril on February 11. This event is being held in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports and Wavs Beach as part of this year’s Reggae Month celebrations.
Part proceeds from Ribbittt will go to Reddie’s Place of Safety in Rollington Town in Kingston.
